The International Journal of Childhood and Women’s Studies (IJCWS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published quarterly by the Faculty of Women, Ain Shams University. The journal is an international research journal for publishing original research, theoretically refined, and empirically grounded in the field of women’s studies focusing on the complex theoretical and empirical relationship between women and the particular, women and the diversity within the national and transnational contexts worldwide. The journal provides as well a forum for researchers and professionals who are exploring new and alternative perspectives in their work with children and their families.
As well as publishing top-quality scholarly articles, the journal includes overviews on the state of Women's Studies in different contexts and different cultures. The journal aims as well to present opportunities for scholars to highlight the ways in which the boundaries of childhood studies and practices are expanding, and for readers to participate in the discussion of emerging issues, contradictions and possibilities.
