The impact of cartoons on bullying behaviors in early childhood from the point of view of parents

Abstract

This study seeks to determine the impact of animation on the bullying behaviors among children in early childhood from the parents’ point of view, through a questionnaire that was distributed electronically. The descriptive approach was used in the study. The researcher identified a random sample of parents of children in early childhood, and the study was approved. It contains (120) questionnaires suitable for analysis, The results of the study showed the effect of cartoons on bullying behaviors among children in early childhood, especially verbal and physical bullying from the parents’ point of view. In light of the results of the questionnaire, the researcher made several recommendations, the most important of which is allocating daily time for parents to discuss with the child about the cartoons he is watching and what he may face. Bullying behaviors in his daily life, and the need for parents to pay attention to monitoring what their children watch of cartoons because of their proven impact on them, and the need to produce Arabic cartoons that are compatible with Islamic values ​​and customs and guide children on how to confront bullies. The researcher also suggested some future studies. Such as the effectiveness of a program based on digital stories in reducing bullying behavior among children in early childhood.
