Abstract

Abstract:
The research aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a training program for developing media Literacy skills of kindergarten child.The quasi-experimental approach with two groups was used, the sample consisted of (60) male and female children aged(6-7)years in the second level of kindergarten,divided into two groups (control and experimental), each consisting of (30) children. The media Literacy skills scale for kindergarten child (prepared by the researcher) was used, a training program for developing media Literacy skills of kindergarten child (prepared by theresearcher),a socio-cultural level form (prepared by the researcher), and the colored progressive matrices test by (John Raven).
The results showed the effectiveness of the training program for developing media Literacy skills of kindergarten child, as statistically significant differences were found between the average scores of the children in the experimental and control groups on the scale of media education skills for kindergarten children in the post-test of the program application in favor of the experimental group. There were also statistically significant differences between the average scores of the children in the experimental group on the scale of media education skills for kindergarten children in the pre-test and post-test of the program application in favor of the post-test,while no statistically significant differences appeared between the average scores of the children in the experimental group on the scale of media education skills for kindergarten children in the post-test of the program application according to the gender variable (males and females).
